Meeting at Le Buzz at 8am, weather permitting. 10.6 mile ride, 1800' climbing, dog friendly trail. Stop at the hidden lake for a rest.

The trail starts at the Staging Area and goes out the back of it for .18 miles. Turn right on ATV trail, cross Bellota Ranch Rd and then Redington Rd and go another 300 yards and turn left up a steep ATV climb. At 3.5 miles the trail tees, turn left back to Redington Rd. There, just to the east the Arizona Trail crosses the road and heads north. This 4.5 miles section is very sweet before hitting Bellota Ranch Rd again. Across it and to the right is the lake, not visible till very near. To the left climb Bellota to Redington Rd and right to staging area to finish ride, or you could hit the ATV trail again to finish, which is tougher.
This ride also involves the "Stairs of Pain" that's .26 mile of very steep, curvy railroad tie climbing. Only seen 2 make it. There is a double step on a curve that always stops me, if I get that far.

Not sure if I missed you or you weather canx'd, but I had a great ride anyway. Very Happy If you had a grey Toyota Highlander with a hitch rack, I parked beside you for a few hours at the ATV staging lot.

Rode out of the ATV lot, took the route you listed. Got lost (took the wrong turn Rolling Eyes ) at the T and noodled around the ATV trails for a few hours, had a most excellent workout. The weather cleared up and everything was amazing.http://www.tucsonmtb.com/modules.php?name=gallery2&g2_itemId=7077

Sorry, Cox cut off internet Friday.
That was my Highlander, was that you jetting by on the AZ Trail, a mile from it's end? I was moving really slow.
Lack of fitness, been hiking more as my dog's too old for running far with bike now.

I don't think I actually got on the AZT at all, but I met several other riders out there, probably one of them. I was on a blue Trek, wearing a vis-green jersey.

I was riding pretty slow as well, so if they were moving with any speed, definitely not me! Crying or Very sad

We'll have to try again soon.
