With temps in the triple digits, for many in the Sonoran Desert the only way to get out on the bike is to get out for night rides.

Join SDMB for a social night ride on the Arizona Trail. Riders of all ability levels are welcome, and this will be a mellow-paced, no drop night ride that will be a perfect opportunity for beginner night-riders to come out and enjoy the cooler temps when the sun goes down.

Meet at the Pistol Hill Rd. trailhead at 6:30 PM, with FIP at 7:00 PM. We will ride North from Pistol Hill Rd. to Hope Camp, then stop for a snack (and a beer if you want) and ride back. The trail covers rolling, non-technical terrain, with a fun descent to Hope Camp and a mellow climb back to the cars.

Riders will need to bring their own lights. 500-1000 lumens are recommended. If you don't have a light, feel free to post up in the comments here or on the post on TucsonMTB.com to see if you can borrow them.

SDMB will have frosty beverages for after the ride.
