SDMB TLC Day: Sunday, July 12, 2015.

For July, we will be giving some love to the Bigelow/Palisades trail. The water bars are getting eroded, and lots can be done to increase flow and maximize sustainability.

Meet at Le Buzz at 7:00 AM to coordinate carpools up the mountain. We will park at Palisades and work our way up from there. This one will be a short hike, so plan on being done by lunchtime.

SDMB will have all the tools we need (in our new tool trailer!), all you need to bring is snacks, water, and work gloves.

Post up if you are interested in shuttles after the trail work!

Oh, please don't over sanitize Palisades. I'm referring to the trail that starts off of Organization Ridge. With the exception of 2 small places, I rode that entire trail last week, the first time I'd tried it. I was grinning ear to ear because it was a mild challenge. No, I didn't make the rock squeeze or the triple steps just after. Those are going to be tough puzzles for me to try to solve. In my opinion, that trail is in no need of any modification. I hiked it last weekend and really didn't see any erosion problems.

If you're just talking about the Bigelow trail from the Palisades PARKING LOT , I'm releaved. (Though you did write Palisades Trail)

Sorry for the confusion. We are working on the trail from bigelow/Kellogg to the palisades lot. Going to address those rock water bars that keep getting bigger and pointier. It's a short trail, but a fun one.
