Ok, I just sent an email to register. I'll let my friend know what the deal is and see if he's going to sign up as well.

I had a Terrific Time at Pachanga. As soon as I got up to the Pachanga I checked my bike in to the Bike Corral. I headed over to the Specialized trailer & checked out a Stumpjumper 6Fattie, the new 27+ offering from the Big S. The guys at the Specialized booth were really nice and took time to set the bike up for me. I got to ride the 6Fattie for the Poker ride down Bugs Springs & Prison camp Trails. This is one fun bike I was laughing as I bounced down the Trail with the big 3" tires. I did not like the bouncy feeling but the 17 PSI in the tires was too much pressure. I think I was going faster than on my old Stumpjumper when I would feel the bouncing.

Next I demoed a Pivot Mach 429 with Fox Float 34. The Rep. was very nice and took the time to set the bike up for me. I was sending it down a heavily rutted section in to a stream when I went Over the bars and slammed my ankle on a rock. I bent the rear rotor like a taco. I rode back to the truck with no rear brake and the brakes rubbing badly. The Pivot Rep was more worried about me than the bike. I explained that I was just riding along and the disk bent. He was nice and did not charge me.

I wanted to fill up my card with 4 demos for $40 off at AZ Cyclery so I got a Salsa Horse Thief I rode it even with my ankle swelling. I really liked this bike it had a Pike and felt very capable & Playful. The Rep from my LBS was helpful & set the bike up for me. It's such a great feeling to get to the bottom of the trail & have a few nice trucks waiting for you, to take you back up.

We had a wonderful lunch catered by Risky Business, Korean Pork Tacos with Kimchi & Rice. I drank my fill of Horchata Beer from Borderland Brewery. For the Poker Ride I was the last hand to win with two 9's & a Queen. I picked a 50mm Renthal Stem. I'm so stoked to win!

So much better than the 90mm I had.

Thanks to TORCA for putting on a Class A Event!
