The most beautiful ride in southern Arizona is Ash Creek in the Galiuros at peak autumn color. The grove is 3 miles long. Starting point can be near the grove or 3 miles before, depending on vehicle ground clearance. Mostly gentle to medium doubletrack.
Maple, sumacs, ash, sycamore and aspen slightly higher.
Those days are fast approaching and I'll post the ride when the weather gets cold enough.
There is also another route southward that I haven't yet explored but it's calling.
Camera highly suggested.

I learned this season that a wet year makes for a less colorful display. It was more beautiful in that the stream was running for the first time making the dogs happy. Also made riding the trail more technical crossing the pools, some 2' deep.
One biker tried the southern road. It starts as dirt road and becomes singletrack heading to a cow pond 6 miles south as the trail meanders along the foot of the range near 5000'.
