Well after seeing the Tortolitas Properly that is not the Trail I was on previously, I think it was at the south end of Maus trail going to como gate. Can anyone confirm this? Is there no name for these trails? Let's name them.

Still not really sure which one you are talking about, and there are a whole bunch of jeep roads up there that do not have names to my knowledge. If you mean the jeep road from the windmill at the top of Maus down to the gate at the top of the now impassable Como climb, I think that is called Gecko Canyon Trail or something, but if you prefer we can call it Petunia... after a gal I used to know who was about as impassable as that trail is legally now...

It's not legal to ride the trail? I thought it was just bad to go by the houses. Like useing the gate. There was no signage saying no bikes the way I came but I did not go all the way to the gate.
Do hikers still have access to como because lots of web sites say come hike.

If you come up from Moore Rd on N Como Drive, take a left on Cougar Canyon, then follow that up past the houses, you will come to Tortolita Estates Drive, which continues onto Gecko Canyon Trail. This is the Jeep Rd that climbs up eventually all the way to the windmill at the top of the Maus Trail. This runs to the east of Saguaro Ranch, and used to be the only 'easy' access to that side of the Torts. This route is what has now been closed off to us (bikes). I don't have a clue whether hikers are tolerated or not.

For what it is worth, I rode Honeybee, then when up and over on Maus to the Maus windmill yesterday. The picture of the windmill in the first posting is the one on the Maus trail.
