Just walked out of TPEC with a complete 11 speed xt group. Not only did I get to say "Yes, 11-42 cassette, 30 tooth wide narrow race face in black, and sg rear derailler please." , THEY ALSO GAVE ME A SWEET DISCOUNT OFF RETAIL!!!

THEY SELL FLAT PEDALS AND SHOES FOR MTB!!!

THEY TAKE AND SELL SWEEET CONSIGNMENT BIKES!!!

New fav. bike shop in TUCSON.

I don't believe you. Where are your graphs and charts to substantiate your claim? We need visual aids...

Entire Shimano XT M8000 2 x 11 Speed MTB Groupset is less than $600 from here:

http://bikes.merlincycles.com/search#?w=xt%2011%20speed%20

Not sure what you paid, but no one can beat Merlin's pricing for Shimano because they have an exclusive deal with Shimano.

I didn't get the cranks or front derailer, but did get the new brakes. It was around 750 total.

The total price isn't really the point. The point was they are taking care of higher end riders with in stock stuff. The special shimano prices are going away soon as shimano is only selling direct to shops now, so blowout pricing is going away for the most part, kinda like apple.

Could have had it ALL for less than $600. The point is to first and foremost fund your retirement, not others.

I posted the link to help other prospective buyers get the best deal they can get. Sorry for your loss.

I said I was sorry for your loss.

Fact of the matter is that there is a better deal out there than what you paid, and it’s in no way wrong for me to point this out to other people that are considering purchasing Shimano components.

You seem to be a shining example of the phrase, “it doesn’t matter how wrong a person is, they never like being proved wrong.”

Do you really feel like you need to take it down a notch with a childish reaction?
