I have been wondering at a good way to carry a bunch of tools while hiking up and down trails without using a BOB trailer or similar towed by your bike.
I have been searching the innerweb, but cannot find anything much out there yet.
The kind of thing I am talking about is something that would make it easier to carry stuff like a shovel, mattock, Mccloud, rock bar etc in one bunch. I know the manuals say you should always carry them low in your hands when hiking, but I am thinking that something like a golf bag with a strap to 'gather' them at the top might work.
Another thing I thought of might be a lightweight backpack frame with a length of plastic tube attached vertically. You could then seal the bottom and pop the handles of the long tools inside.
Either way you'd have to bend down under trees etc, but I can't help thinking this would be easier than trying to carry them all by hand, especially if hiking solo.

Anyone else had similar thoughts and found a solution?

Perhaps something like this, altho the rock bar might be too heavy for it:

Yeah, use a golf bag on wheels. Just start at the club house and you can probably hire a caddy. Just tell him you're off in the rough.
