Join SDMB for our first-ever 24HOP Pre-Ride Campout, Saturday January 30th! We will have day and night laps, an instuctional session with Fat Tire Finesse, dinner from Brushfire BBQ, and beer from Catalina Brewing Company. The campout is for first timers and veterans alike, and a great opportunity to check out the course at a social pace or hammer for a KOM. Bring the family!

Dinner and beer are free for members, $10 for non-members. Membership is only $35/year, and you can sign up the day of, or anytime between now and then. Go to www.sdmb.org to become a member.

Please RSVP on the Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/1660501307565005/ or to trailsteward@sdmb.org if you are coming, so we can order enough food!

SDMB Town is on the right just before you get into the main camping area; look for the SDMB tool trailer, and turn right into the campsite. Directions to get to the 24HOP course are here: http://www.epicrides.com/pdf/24/map_to_24.pdf

Arizona Land Dept. permits are required for any use of the 24HOP course, 50 Year, and Fantasy Island. Enforcement is more frequent around the race each year. Permits are only $15/yr., and show the land dept how many recreational users there are. To buy a permit go to https://land.az.gov/natural-resources/recreational-permits

Schedule for Saturday:
2:00 PM: Daytime laps. All are welcome, and Fat Tire Finesse will be leading an instructional lap with info about endurance racing, bike handling, and nutrition. Riders should be able to ride 16 miles of XC trail with about 1K ft. or climbing. Go here for the trail description: https://www.mtbproject.com/trail/6247192/willow-springs-24-hours-in-the-old-pueblo-course
6:00 PM: Dinner from Brushfire BBQ and Catalina Brewing Company beer. Free for members, $10 for non-members.

8:00 PM: Night laps. Mellow or race pace depending on interest. Make sure your lights are charged!

Sunday:
Join us for a short TLC event at the start/finish at 10:00 AM, or get out to ride another lap.

Less than 2 weeks to go until the campout, so if you haven't gotten your permit yet, mail in the application ASAP! It's a quick turnaround, so there should still be time.

Due to what looks to be a HUGE turnout and a potential lack of camping at SDMB Town, we are moving the Campout location to the Rock Drop at the 24HOP Course. Look for the SDMB trailer, EZup, and flags!
